The School will make every effort to:

  • Provide a safe, secure and caring environment

  • Encourage children of all abilities to reach their full potential whilst providing a road and balanced curriculum

  • Offer opportunities for parents/carers to become involved in the daily life of the school

  • Inform parents/carers of any concerns, serious incidents, accidents or illness which occur during the child’s time in school

  • Inform parent/carers of the child’s progress on both formal and informal occasions

  • Offer support systems to children/families in need

 

Parents/Carers will make every effort to:

  • Ensure the child is punctual and attends school regularly

  • Inform the school of reasons for absence either by phone or letter at the earliest opportunity

  • Ensure the child is appropriately dressed and has the correct equipment for lessons, reading books etc

  • Make the school aware of any concerns or difficulties which may affect the child’s progress or behaviour

 

 Parents/Carers will make every effort to:

  • Support the school’s policies and guidelines for behaviour, discipline and dress code

  • Attend parents evenings to discuss the child’s progress

  • Encourage and support the child in their learning, both with school and homework activities

  • Approach and share views, opinions or concerns with staff in an atmosphere of mutual respect

  • Observe the rules of the school safety procedures by being responsible for the behaviour of their child whilst delivering or collecting from school or waiting on campus

  • Recognise the value of “outside visits” and support these wherever possible

 

The child will try to:

  • Work hard and participate in all the experiences and opportunities on offer

  • Be polite and sociable to classmates, staff and visitors

  • Listen to and be tolerant of the views and actions of others.  “Think before you act”

  • Listen to and follow the teachers/helpers instructions

  • Care for school equipment, the property of other pupils and the school environment

  • Follow the school rules

  • Approach staff or parents with any personal problems or concerns so that these may be resolved

  • Enjoy school
