COVID-19 - MESSAGE FROM HEADTEACHER, Mr. M Windle

Dear Parents/Carers,

On Wednesday 18th March 2020, the government announced that schools, colleges and early years settings across the UK will be closed to everyone except children of critical workers and vulnerable children from Monday 23rd March 2020.

We are facing some very challenging times and we believe it is crucial that we in school do all we can to keep our emergency workers going. I would like to thank all key workers, including our staff, for doing their bit to fight this dreadful virus.

As a country, we all need to do what we can to reduce the spread of the COVID-19 virus. That is why the government has asked parents to keep their children at home, wherever possible, and asked schools to remain open only for those children who absolutely need to attend. The fewer children in educational settings, the lower the risk that the virus can spread and infect vulnerable individuals in wider society.

As a school, we would like you to know that whatever the Government decides we are incredibly proud of how hard your children have worked over the last year.   Finally, I would like to thank all our parents and families for the kind comments and supportive messages we have received; I am proud of our school community.

Stay safe and remember... we are still here to support you.

Mr. Mark Windle

Headteacher

Where are we?

Welcome from the School Council

Welcome to Badsley Primary School.  We believe we are a fantastic school with lots of great learning opportunities.  We are proud of our school; we have many great facilities such as iPads, computers, a wide range of reading resources and much more.  We have a Sparkle Room (sensory room) and a Golden Room (it can be used as a chill out zone for lunchtimes).  Recently, we have opened our brand new Dining Hall and this has recevied some great comments so far!  At Badsley Primary School we aspire to be a Badsley LEARNER - moving through different levels of acheivement through school.   Our school has nearly 600 pupils attending and everyone is welcome anytime.  We would be very interested to talk to anyone who would like to visit.

Thank you and welcome.
